Lozis have demanded for an explanation for the expulsion of former Foreign Minister Given Lubinda.
Prince Silumelume said the move taken by the PF to expel Mr Lubinda was a ploy to get rid of other tribes in the government.
In an interview with the Daily Nation, the Prince in Senanga district challenged President Sata to clearly explain for national ‘education’ the reason behind the treatment and subsequent firing of Lubinda.
He wondered if Mr Lubinda was the only person who had a case to answer on the particular allegations levelled against him, or were there others, facing similar and more serious charges?
He was shocked that some members who were facing serious allegations on corruption activities went scot free and wondered why they had to take such a heartless step over Lubinda.
“I am not convinced that Lubinda alone is the main offender in the party, because many of them are involved in various issues. How special are they and this is a direct reflection of what the PF government is,” he said.
Meanwhile UPND deputy spokesperson Edwin Lifwekelo has asked Patriotic Front (PF) Secretary General Wynter Kabimba to tell the nation why he wanted to expel Kabwata Member of Parliament Given Lubinda, rather than to peddle lies, that he had been selling information to UPND and some selected media houses.
In an interview with the Daily Nation, Mr. Lifwekelo said that it was immoral for the PF government to demand for an explanation from the UPND over the expulsion of Greyford Monde the Itezhi Tezhi parliamentarian when they have failed to state why they did not want Lubinda anymore.
Mr. Lifwekelo said that his party would not debate the issue of Monde because he was already expelled and that Mr. Kabimba should also take responsibility over why he was working so hard to expel Kabwata Member of Parliament Given Lubinda.
Earlier, Prince Silumelume said that Mr Lubinda was an asset that the PF benefitted from and wondered why people could turn against him so soon, adding that his firing left much to be desired.
He reminded individuals who were advocating for Lubinda’s removal from his position to brace themselves for hard times, because Lubinda was capable of bringing development.
“If Mr Sata plans to put his son in Kabwata, it will not work, and let me assure him that the people who are telling him what to do are not sincere, but they are destroying him and will damp him,” he said.
He pointed out that various cabinets Minister in the PF government had released alarming statements to the nation but the President preferred to remain silent without any action taken.
He cited Masebo allegations as one of the pending issue, President Sata had failed to sort out following the delayed setting up of a tribunal to investigate her on allegations of corruption and abuse of power.
