Kabwata Member of Parliament Given Lubinda is literally forcing himself on the ruling Patriotic Front when it is clear that he was not wanted, says a Kabwata resident Brebner Changala.
Mr Changala said it was a shame that Mr Lubinda still felt that he was part of the PF when it was clear that his leaders did not want to work with him.
He said the best the Kabwata parliamentarian could have done was to step aside and stop commenting on issues the way he did when PF did not want him.
He said his MP had failed to defend himself form the accusation of being a treacherous man and this meant that the accusations could be correct.
Mr Changala said as a resident of Kabwata, it was sad that the MP’s tactic of adopting silence was actually his final fate.
“It is very sad for my generation and the people of Kabwata to see a rising political star in the name of Given Lubinda whose sun has set too soon due to failure to manage his political integrity.
“This is a sad development for the people of Kabwata and a country as a whole and I appeal to Lubinda to step aside and continue managing his Namakau disco house.
Mr Changala said it was high time the Member of Parliament reconciled his conscience and realised that he was not wanted in PF.
“This silence by our MP affects his representation of the people of Kabwata. Does he think that his short comings do not have an effect on the electorates that put him in that office? How many times has he visited Kabwata constituency to give effective leadership since he started fighting with his own party?
“Mr Lubinda must step down in the interest of the constituency and not the interest of the PF. He must know that his trials and tribulations have affected the constituency because the electorates don’t know his side of the story,” he added.
