PF cadres clash again

Patriotic Front (PF) cadres yesterday clashed and shut their Lusaka district office and demanded that the ruling party’s secretary general Wynter Kabimba and Minister of Tourism and Arts Sylvia Masebo must be expelled.

The Lusaka Central PF youths who have been calling for the expulsion of their secretary general Wynter Kabimba have shut and welded the doors to their Lusaka district offices claiming that those holding the offices were Kabimba’s stooges who had never been elected.

The cadres have vowed that the offices would remain closed until after the provincial executive was dissolved and a new leadership elected.

The Chawama bus station turned a bloody when PF cadres turned onto each other over the endorsement of President Sata’s presidency in the 2016 general elections.

The PF cadres have also accused Masebo of working with Kabimba and his clique to unseat President Sata and have demanded that the Chongwe parliamentarian should be expelled along with Geoffrey Chumbwe, Kennedy Kamba and Goodson Banda.

A check at the district office by the Daily Nation revealed that the offices had been welded and writings on the wall reading “closed until further notice and we are not Wynter Kabimba’s stooges.”

The cadres have said it had become clear that the ruling party was disintegrating because of Kabimba’s appetite to quickly take the presidency of the party long before the first term of President Sata had expired.

Julius Komaki, one of the cadres who marched to state house demanding for the expulsion of Kabimba said the PF secretary general was not only destroying the party but was also disturbing the governance of the country.

Komaki said Kabimba was wasting time scheming to block MMD’s Petauke Central parliamentary Dora Siliya, UPND’s Maxwell Mwale of Malambo and Hastings Sililo of Mulobezi instead of sorting out the mess he had created in the ruling party.

Komaki said Kabimba was confusing the governance system and that the justice minister was allegedly controlling a number of governance institutions.

The youths said have vowed that they would embark on a campaign to expose how corrupt Kabimba had become and that they were ready to be disciplined if what they were saying about the justice minister was not correct.

Komaki has challenged the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) and the police to investigate a construction company called BSBK Joint Venture that was in the road construction in Zambia but had never constructed any road in Zambia.

“There a lot of scandals at the Road Development Agency (RDA) and the President is being misinformed. One of the reasons we have indefinitely closed the Lusaka PF district office because the people in those offices are stooges of Kabimba who is at the center of confusion in the party. We also are demanding that Sylvia Masebo must also be expelled because she is working with Kabimba,” Komaki said.
