Patriotic Front secretary general Wynter Kabimba yesterday wrote to Emmanuel Mwamba over what he termed ‘the scathing and demeaning’ stories against him carried by the Zambia Daily Mail.
Kabimba accused Mwamba of fanning the writing of the stories which he said are not deserving of a sitting senior Cabinet minister.
He said that Mwamba should not think that he has more patronage from Republican President Michael Sata than him (Kabimba).
But Mwamba, in an interview with Lusaka-based Qfm radio said he was “saddened by the conduct of the minister of justice” who has gone to the extent calling individual reporters and staff of the Daily Mail over the matter.
Mwamba said that Kabimba, if he has any grievances, should follow laid down procedures to air his grievances and not threaten individual journalists.
The events come on the backdrop of sustained coverage of calls by members of the ruling Patriotic Front calling for Kabimba to resign as party chief executive officer and justice minister.
