Expelled Patriotic Front assistant secretary general Sikwindi Situla has written to President Michael Sata that only the Head of State who is also party president can remove him from the party.
Situla explained that because his position draws its authority from the PF party president, he had ignored as null and void his expulsion announced by Bridget Atanga.
According to Qfm, Situla maintained that he was still a loyal member of the PF and a supporter of President Sata and the party leadership.
Atanga, who is PF deputy secretary general announced the suspension of Situla as a disciplinary measure but later expelled him for alleged insubordination on Wednesday.
But Situla charged that he had written a letter over his suspension to the President and was waiting for a response in that vein.
Situla has been implicated in the issue of the Fourth Republic Party which has been linked to embattled PF -SG Wynter Kabimba.
