The Daily Nation last month sent a press query to the governor of the Bank of Zambia Michael Gondwe on a number of issues concerning the compliance of Finance Bank with the BoZ Act among other things in terms of shareholders since it was given back to its owner Rajan Mathani.
The query also touched on reports that a banker had forced government institutions and parastatals to withdraw money from Access Bank following intervention from the said banker.
The Daily Nation among other things wanted to know if it was true that Finance Bank chairman Rajan Mathani was still holding 56 percent shares in the bank.
The newspaper also wanted to know if it was true that the Bank of Zambia had paid Mathani K120 billion for loss of business as compensation without litigation.
Following the non-response from the Bank of Zambia, the Daily Nation has decided to publish the full press query with the hope that the bank would respond.
