Acting Chief Justice Lombe Chibesakunda yesterday ordered Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba to clear PF cadres that besieged the High Court grounds when President Michael Sata arrived at Lusaka High court for his defamation case against Daily Nation Newspaper.
Cadres flooded the Court grounds while chanting and singing party slogans.
At around 10:00 hours the court premises were cordoned off by armed Police officers, while PF cadres ferried in buses to the court were told to wait at the roundabout, where they caused serious traffic congestion.
It was at this point that Justice Chibesakunda issued instructions to clear the crowd from the court premises to pave way for the President.
However Police officers had a hard time trying to stop the cadres and other sympathizers who were trenched to court in buses from entering the court as it was packed to full capacity.
And few minutes later Zambia Air Force (ZAF) helicopters were seen hovering above the court much to the amusement of the crowd that had gathered in the court grounds.
Mr Sata was accompanied by son Lusaka Mayor Mulenga Sata, Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba and other party officials.
And after court session Mr Sata did not address his cadres, he was instead quickly drove away in his BMW car.
