Mother of slain NIPA student Ruth Mbandu says her family members have nothing to do with the death of her daughter.
Victoria Kalomo Mbandu said that her sister Brenda Kalomo, 28, was not part of the group that was charged with the murder of Ruth.
She explained that her mother Brenda Kalomo, 60 and her younger sister were never part of the case and that her brother George Kalomo was also freed after the State entered a nolle prosequi.
She was reacting to a story in the Daily Nation of yesterday headlined “Ruth Mbandu case in trial within trial “ in which it was reported that Brenda Kalomo, 31, was jointly charged with Edward Siandima 28, and Collins Kasiye Sooma 20, for the murder of Ruth.
Ms Mbandu said her family was still mourning her daughter and that its members should not be drawn to the matters before the courts of law.
