UPND youths in Sinazongwe have advised Sinazongwe Member of Parliament Richwell Siamunene to stop demonizing party president Hakainde Hichilema because he played a key role in his election in 2011.
UPND Sinazongwe ward youth chairman Coffer Siambili accused Mr Siamunene of campaigning against Mr Hichilema claiming that the opposition was not ready for leadership.
Mr Siambili told the Daily Nation yesterday from Sinazongwe that UPND youths were concerned with the conduct of Mr Siamunene and his utterances against the party president.
“We want to condemn our member of Parliament because he has been saying that HH should work under someone when HH assisted him to be MP. He has been fooling our president,” he said.
Mr Siambili said Mr Siamunene has failed to take development to his constituency and that Sinazongwe has over 300 primary schools but only one high school.
The youth leader said despite being appointed to various ministerial positions under the Patriotic Front (PF) government, Mr Siamunene’ constituency still has poor road network and the rehabilitation works underway were not properly coordinated.
Mr Siambili said the people of Sinazongwe were disappointed with Mr Siamunene leadership’s style and that they were not prepared to re-elect him in 2016 general elections.
“We cannot vote for him again because anytime he can leave us. People of Sinazongwe are crying to have someone who can represent them and now they are looking for someone whom they want to vote for in 2016,” Mr Siambili said.
He urged the people of Western province to vote out Mr Siamunene because he was a traitor and was inconsistent.
