Atanga rubbishes office closure report

THE Patriotic Front (PF) offices were never besieged and closed by unruly cadres as reported by the Post Newspaper deputy Secretary General Bridget Atanga has said.

She described the report as malicious, because she operated from the office the entire day and at no time was she accosted or forced out of the office, “As we speak I have the keys to the office with me.”

The Post reported that PF cadres locked up her office, situated at Lusaka House because she was allegedly opposed to the current secretary general Edgar Lungu.

The Post reported that PF cadres on Monday locked up the offices at the PF party secretariat in Lusaka allegedly because some top office bearers appointed by former secretary general Wynter

Nobody, she said, locked up her office and that she was not aware if some people went to the party secretariat.

She wondered where some sections of the media were getting their stories from when she was  still actively using her office.
