IT is a mockery to local coaches to ask FAZ president Kalusha Bwalya to officiate at the Zambia Football Coaches Association (ZAFCA) annual general meeting when he has disrespected their work, says football administrator Simataa Simataa.
Simataa said local coaches that have served on the national team technical bench under Kalusha have suffered humiliation and wondered why he was going to grace the meeting.
“Honour Janza was given a letter of termination at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport yet he worked for months without a salary.
“The current national soccer team coach George Lwandamina is not on a contract, yet the man is being given the honour to address the coaches? I feel that is mockery to these great coaches that sacrifice everything for this nation, “he said.
He revealed the ZAFCA was evicted from the Football House because of opposing the decisions of the executive committee.
“It is under his reign that ZAFCA was evicted for going against some decisions by the executive committee. ZAFCA went to squat at the offices of former FAZ president Evaristo Kasunga at the Lusaka showgrounds.
“He said Zambia has lost glory of exporting coaches to the Southern African Region because of the demeaning standards.
Simataa said he was hoping the annual general meeting would discuss how they could retrieve the lost honourable status of local coaches. ZAFCA is scheduled to hold its AGM this Saturday at Government Complex in Lusaka.
