THE stage-managed shooting at the Post Newspaper is meant to enhance the hate and malice campaign against President Edgar Lungu, Information and Broadcasting Minister Chishimba Kambwili has revealed.

Mr Kambwili who is chief Government spokesperson has accused Mr M’membe of stage-managing the shooting incidence to justify his (M’membe) wild allegations that President Lungu was planning to kill him and hoped that the police was going to be thorough in their investigations.

Information and Broadcasting Services Minister Chishimba Kambwili told the Sunday Nation that Mr M’membe was under no threat from anyone in the country and that his art of attracting sympathy from the general public had exposed him for who he truly was.

And police assistant spokesperson Mwata katongo said the police were still investigating the shooting at the  Post.

Mr Kambwili said it was the feeling of Government that the shooting at the Post Newspaper was nothing more than a hoax planned at getting at President Lungu whom Mr M’membe had accused of issuing death threats,

Mr Kambwili said Government was fully aware that Mr M’membe could have hired one of his own to shoot into his newsroom to cause fear and panic among his reporters whom he had indoctrinated with his philosophies and ideologies.

He said it was not logically possible for an assailant to freely walk into the Post Newspaper premises which were extensively monitored and successfully carry out a mission like shooting in the newsroom without being seen.

“We have been reluctant to comment on the Post Newspaper shooting because we strongly believe that was a stage managed act by Mr M’membe so that his hate propaganda campaign against President Lungu could be enhanced. ,” Mr Kambwili said.
