Musician Bryan Lyamba formerly referred to as Bryan Kombweke because of his hit song that made a huge impact on the music scene says he decided to rebrand to Chris Bryan to end negative beliefs attached to his ‘Kombweke’ name.
The singer explained in an interview that because the ‘Kombweke’ song talks about death, people easily connect it to such saying that artistes who sing about death end up dying earlier than their time.
“ We are renaming and recreating the Bryan kombweke brand,of an artist with a better identification. This is after much talk about “death songs”and the beliefs that surround it,” he said.
Bryan said this idea specifically came at the time there was a strong rumour that he had died, some tiime this year.
“ It came after the rumour that went around that I died,I decided to rebrand,” he said, adding that to this effect, he has released a video dubbed ‘ Ncilindebwela’ featuring Shenki to specifically address the same.
“ I am talking abouout talking about the same, and the love I received when they heard I was no more.It also talks about how we should appreciate people while they are alive,” Bryan explained.
