Stanbic to introduce 24hour internet banking services

STANBIC Bank is in the process of  launching a 24hr self service internet banking  for its custmers, says marketing manager Chavunga Lungu.

Mr Lungu said the innovation would provide an easy online internet banking service to its customers.

He said the project  would see the setting up of 24hr self service kiosks for customers and immensely improve internet banking for its customers.

Mr Lungu explained that the self service kiosks would be  erected across the country to service its clients.

He said self-service kiosks would be put in shopping malls and Stanbic banks in Zambia, adding that all  what customers needed to do was register for internet banking.

“There are some people who do not want to queue up in a bank so with the self-service kiosk concept, the internet banking will come in extremely handy and it is all free,” he said.

Mr Lungu noted that the bank would be introducing the new products to the market soon.

The self service Kiosk were displayed at Stanbic bank stand at the just ended Zambia agriculture and commercial show.

Meanwhile, Mr Lungu said apart from the self service kiosk, stanbic bank was running a generator promotion for its customers to help cater the current power outages.

Mr Lungu said customers with a minmum of one thousand kwacha in their current account and applied for a genaratot financing automaticallly qualified for the promotion.

“The promotion is for customers to have finance access for generators for upto a maximum of 60 months which is fove years.We finance it upto 100 percent. Open a current account with us and deposit a minimum of K1000,” he said.

And Mr Lungu said the bank helped its customers have easy access to tax payments through the e-tax.

He said e-tax was an online service which enabled customers payed for their taxes using online banking.

“This e-tax improves on procustivity because it lessens movements from comapies to ZRA, but also any online platform we have is secured, not only is it convinient, it is also secured,” he said.

Mr Lungu said payments immediatly reflected on the online banking as soon as they were made.
