Parliamentary candidate pledges development

PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Wusakile constituency parliamentary candidate Ackson Simwizye has promised to improve water supply and sanitation in Luangwa township if elected Member of Parliament on August 11 this year.

Mr Simwizye said he was aware of the serious water supply challenges the people of Luangwa township were facing and so if elected he would work on improving the water supply and sanitation in the area.

He was speaking at a rally in Luangwa township addressed by PF Copperbelt provincial chairman Stephen Kainga, provincial secretary Binwell Mpundu, Kitwe district chairman Kelvin Sinyangwe, PF parliamentary candidate for Nkana Alexander Chiteme and his Kamfinsa constituency counterpart Elalio Musonda.

“One of the things I want to work on, if you elect me as MP on August 11, is the issue of water supply and sanitation. Apart from that, I also want to work on dilapidated schools in the constituency,” Mr Simwizye said. He said he would also continue working on the various developmental projects which were started by his predecessor Richard Musukwa.

Mr Simwizye said he was optimistic that partnership with the people of Luangwa, would deliver development.

And the PF provincial chairman urged the electorate to vote for President Edgar Lungu, PF Kitwe mayoral candidate Christopher Kangombe, Mr Simwizye and the PF councillors on August 11.

He cautioned the electorate against voting for the opposition because he said they had no plans for  Zambians.

“Some of these opposition leaders and their running mates have nothing to offer Zambians and so just forget about them. Let us vote for President Lungu for peace, unity, harmony and prosperity,” Mr Kainga said.
