STATE House permanent secretary Emmanuel Chilubanama has been fired.
President Edgar Lungu said in a statement issued yesterday by his special assistant for press and public relations Amos Chanda that he had, with immediate effect, terminated the contract of Mr Chilubanama as permanent secretary for State House.
Mr Chilubanama’s dismissal comes soon after Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president Andrew Kamanga was beaten by cadres at a Church where President Lungu was preaching peace and discouraging violence.
According to the letter addressed to Mr Chilubanama dated August 29, 2016, the Head of State informed the former permanent secretary that his services had been terminated with immediate effect.
The letter, signed by the Head of State, had also been copied to the Secretary to the Cabinet Dr. Roland Msiska, Secretary to the Treasury Fredson Yamba and the Auditor-General.
“I am writing to inform you that I have terminated your services as Permanent Secretary with immediate effect. I wish you the best in your future endeavours,” President Lungu said.
