B-Flow wows audience as Kalenga wins big at Mwape Peer Awards

Zambia’s award winning musician Brian B’Flow Bwembya wowed attendees last Saturday night at the 7th Annual Mwape Peer Awards ceremony held at the luxurious Empire City Casino in Yonkers, New York.

B-Flow was the main act at the show that saw several hardworking individuals walk away with awards including Kalenga Kamwendo, the 22 year-old and Zambia’s youngest commercial airline pilot with over 1,300 flying hours.

Kamwendo scooped the prestigious Rising Star award while others like diplomat Chibaula D. Silwamba  scooped the Diplomatic Excellence Award: For exemplary representation of Zambia at the United Nations and for supporting Zambian community initiatives in the Greater New York metropolitan area.

Apart from performing at the beautifully organized event that drew participants from Botswana, Canada, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe, B-Flow presented Kalenga’s award as well.

Mrs Maggie Mwelwa of Connecticut, USA received special humanitarian award recognition for her community work in helping those in need.
