Zambians pray for peace, unity

Multitudes of worshippers from different walks of life yesterday gathered at woodlands stadium to pray for Zambia’s continued peace and prosperity. The church crusade that was hosted by the Christ Embassy church attracted a huge crowd who worshipped the night away and sang along with the praise team choir. Head pastor David Brown said that Zambia was a blessed country filled with opportunities and stated that the event dubbed ‘healing from heaven’ was aimed at ensuring the country’s peace and prosperity continued. The clergyman said that Zambia had a special place in the God’s agenda and that no evil plans would ever work against its destiny of peace, healing and prosperity of its people. Pastor Brown prayed for the Government to continue leading the country with wisdom, justice and righteousness. ‘’Zambia has a special place in the heart of God and one of the reasons we are gathered here today more than ourselves is to pray for its continued peace and prosperity. “We ask that leaders will lead this great country with wisdom, justice and righteousness and we refuse any evil agenda against its destiny,’’ he said. He took time to pray for the sick who testified of having been healed of various ailments and led thousands to be born again. The event attracted not only Lusaka residents but Copperbelt, Livingstone, Mazabuka, Eastern provinces and its local pastors in over 30 of its branches spread across the country.
