Zambia’s popular TV talk show, ‘Smooth Talk’ turns 15 this year and plans to celebrate this achievement with a special event are set for October 29th at Lusaka’s National Sports Development Centre (NASDEC).

Show host and one of Zambia’s legendary entertainment personalities Innocent Kalaluka popularly known as Smooth IK, announced in an interview that this celebration will be a way of looking back at where we are coming from in terms of entertainment, particularly music.

He emphasized that the show will be a ‘celebration with the legends’ and will feature music performances and appearances from the many pioneers of Zambian music who are probably not actively together now.

This according to him is a way of looking back and appreciating the contributions these particular individuals added to the industry to make it where we are today.

“We are calling it the legends show because we will have all those people who contributed greatly to the development of Zambian music performing at the celebration.

It is a special throwback show and we happy that most of them are willing to be part of it,” said IK.

He mentioned pioneers like Nasty D, Shatel, Black Muntu, Jozi Beats, Namanje and 2wice as among the many artistes that grew with the show 15 years ago and will be present to perform at the event.

There will also be a lot of surprises down memory lane and IK is positive the show will be a uniting factor between the old and the new crop of artistes.

Smooth Talk is one of the oldest running shows on Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) that has played a huge role in contributing to the development of the entertainment industry in Zambia. It is one show that identifies IK as one of the most consistent entertainer that has built many careers.

His show airs on ZNBC every Fridays featuring interesting topics, profiles and entertainment pieces in Zambia’s show buzz.
