Govt needs to restructure its system

Dear Editor,

May you allow me space in your paper to make an appeal to the Government of the day?

To achieve the goals, I would appeal to the powers that be to restructure the systems that it found.

Some of the boards, the directors, managers and supervisors are deliberately stopping the plans that the government has to paint a bad picture to the citizens about the government.

There is a lot of deliberate slothfulness in health, education, water and sewerage, transport, Zesco, etc whose aim is to cause dissatisfaction in people so that they regret having voted for the new leadership.

Jesus did not use the structures he found to achieve his goal. He formed his own team that he trained and sent to do the job.

It is difficult to bring a new working culture into the old systems.

Change the structures please, otherwise very little shall be achieved.

Some of those structures are not committed to the Government of the day.

Others have been put in those structures by other people with an agenda to make sure nothing moves.

While others have been paid to just be a hindrance to Government progress, I appealing to powers that be to wake up.

Luke 5:36-39 says, “He told them a proverb also: No one puts a patch from a new garment on an old garment; if he does, he will both tear the new one, and the patch from the new [one] will not match the old [garment].

And no one pours new wine into old wineskins; if he does, the fresh wine will burst the skins and it will be spilled and the skins will be ruined (destroyed). But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins. And no one after drinking old wine immediately desires new wine, for he says, The old is good or better.”
