JAPAN and Zambia will this Friday commemorate 30 years of partnership in achievements and milestones through training programmes and materials that have seen a growth of veterinary services in the country. In a eve celebration message, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) public relations manager Njaame Kalililo-Mwila said that the partnership of the two countries through the University of Zambia (UNZA) and Hokkaido University had seen a growth of veterinary services in the country. Ms Kalililo-Mwila said that JICA was determined to supplement Government efforts in enhancing development in various sectors such as infrastructure development, health, education, agriculture, water and the private sector. “To commemorate this 30 years historic partnership, JICA has organised a ceremony where a symbolic plaque will be unveiled. ‘‘This partnership between the University of Zambia and Hokkaido University has grown in strides and milestones have been achieved through trainings and materials for improved veterinary services in Zambia implemented by JICA projects,’’ Ms Mwila said.
