ZESCO United midfielder Clatous Chama will join Egyptian club Ittihad Alexandria in January on a three -and-a -half year contract. Chama, 25, has been instrumental in Zesco’s success this year and put up a good play during the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League race which saw the Super League champions reach the semi-finals. The six-time Egyptian winners, Alexandria, posted on their website on Wednesday the signing of the Zambia national team midfielder and revealed a three and a half year deal. Chama’s two year contract with Zesco expires this December. Alexandria are fifth on the log with 13 points but coach Mokhatr Ali Mokhtar is confident the signing of Chama will boost the team’ s performance in 2017. “I watched him play especially during the CAF Champions League, he has a sharp eye for the ball and is hard-working. It is my hope he will deliver,” an Egyptian club official said.
