Musician, actor and radio presenter Webster Chinyimba aka W-Star has launched Friday Reggae Roadblock at Lay By Nights club in Chilenje.
The multi-talented DJ who is also a raga dancehall artiste says the reggae nights are meant to give patrons a mature and different approach to music every Friday nights. W-Star will be hosting the shows which have run for two Fridays so far and he is hopeful they will build up as we head towards the festive season.
Having being a staunch follower of reggae and raga music himself, W-Star has a rich collection which makes Friday Nights at Lay By Pub special. He mainly delves in the 90s exploring all the classic melodies and iconic reggae jams. His sharp understanding and spitting of ‘Patwa’ brings that Jamaican experience to the pub.
And Lay By Pub hosts a unique ‘Thursday Night Unplugged Session’ with Naso and Titus,
These are two lads known from Danny’s Mo Fire Band. Their style and approach to cover-version performances gives you that different appreciation of talent and live music in Zambia.
